Located just a couple of meters outside the west exit of Nagoya Station the Sanco Inn Nagoya Shinkansen Guchi Annex awaits you. The hotel just opened in 2017 and all the facilities are new and modern.

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, desk and free WIFI. Your private bathroom comes equipped with a bathtub and many amenities such as shampoo, soap, a hairbrush, and shaver.

A 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry are also available inside the hotel.

For only 5 US dollars a day you can add a convenient breakfast.

Because of the distance from the stations, the hotel rooms here are a little bit bigger than at other hotels in the same price category. Amenities include a wardrobe, TV, free WIFI, airconditioning, a desk, and a refrigerator, as well as an electric kettle.

Bathrooms are modern Japanese with a bathtub, high-tech toilet and many other amenities such as a bathrobe, toiletries, and slippers.

Free luggage storage, vending machines, and coin laundry are available at the hotel. Highly-rated breakfast is included in the room rate.

Rooms can be categorized as smoking and non-smoking rooms with double, twin and single rooms.

There is only one elevator for the whole hotel which can get crowded during peak times. The location of the hotel was also mentioned several times as not being very convenient. The area doesn’t have much going on around without many food options.

Daiwa Royal Hotel D-City Nagoya Fushimi


Daiwa Royal Hotel D-City Nagoya Fushimi is a modern hotel close to Fushimi Station, just one stop from Nagoya Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line.

The hotel features rooms with air-conditioning, a desk, and a TV. A special feature is a massage pillow in the rooms as well as a free smartphone rental.

Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, 24-hour reception, and luggage storage. Coin laundry is also available. A Japanese breakfast buffet is available at an additional charge.

For some reason, the hotel provides female-only standard double and twin rooms. Which are cheaper than normal standard double and twin rooms.

Daiwa Royal Hotel D-City Nagoya Fushimi is a non-smoking hotel. The hotel also has a small Onsen for use.


Worst Parts

Some people complained that the elevator was too slow, the location was far from Nagoya Station (I suppose if you walk it is quite far, but it’s just one stop by subway). And as is often the case the rooms are quite small, especially for two people.

Many guests complimented the great location close to Fushimi Station. With many restaurants around and great public transport to explore other parts of town.

Most guests appreciated the thoughtful little touches like the massage pillow and the smartphone rental generally not provided by other hotels.
